This version introduces an important step in becoming the greatest reader for epub books; Offline Spritz.

Although this new feature was tested on an extensive catalogue of books and on different devices, it appears that a bug has sneaked into this version. This doesn't affect all users, but it has affected some.

We've spent several days trying to replicate this problem, but no matter what configuration and tests we do it always comes out working as expected. So it's a very sneaky bug that we have been unable to investigate further.

Users who have reported this problem have told us it started working again after a full reinstall of ReadMe!. So right now this is the suggested solution until we have been able to track down the bug.

Please note! If you do decide to uninstall ReadMe! and then reinstall it again, you will have to do a backup of your books first and then transfer them back to ReadMe! once it's installed again

  1. Connect your device yo your computer and start iTunes.
  2. In iTunes, click on your device, then on Apps.
  3. Scroll all the way down to FileSharing and click on ReadMe! in that list.
  4. To the right you'll see a folder called "epubs", this is where all your installed books are copied so you could just drag this folder to your desktop if you want to do a backup.

Now you're ready to uninstall ReadMe! from your device.

  1. Open up Settings on your device.
  2. Go to General -> Usage
  3. Wait for the list to load.
  4. Tap on Show All Apps
  5. Select ReadMe!
  6. Tap on Delete App

After deleting ReadMe! you can open up AppStore on your device and search for "ReadMe!", then install it again.

Once it's installed again you can open up iTunes on your computer again (with your device connected to your computer) and perform the following steps:

  1. In iTunes, click on your device, then on Apps.
  2. Scroll all the way down to FileSharing and click on ReadMe! in that list.
  3. Open the backed up folder on your desktop that you copied in a previous step.
  4. Select all files in the folder
  5. Drag all of the files selected in the folder into the right part (the stripes under epub folder) seen in the picture below:

Please provide the following information if you do:

  1. What problem are you experiencing?
  2. How do you add books? Is it by going to "Add books->Download books right now!" or another way? 
  3. Every book that you install, is it displayed correctly in your Library with the cover or author/title where there is no cover? 
  4. When exactly does the problem occur, is it immediately when you tap on a book, after a long period of loading or does the book show up first? 
  5. When loading the book (the book-cover is covering the screen), do you see a blue stripe at the bottom with a text telling you to be patient? 
  6. Does this "be patient" text show up on the sample book "Peter and Wendy" every time you open it? 
  7. How did this problem occur the first time? Was it directly after you updated ReadMe! and then opening the first book? 
  8. Does this problem always happen?
  9. What was the first book that you opened that gave rise to the problem? 
  10. From what version of ReadMe! did you upgrade from? Did you have version 1.1 and then upgraded to the latest 1.3?
  11. Were you connected to the internet the first time the problem occurred?
